Why ministrymedia.com?
Our global understanding of technology doubles every four months. That means that within the next year, we will know 300% more information than we do currently. This rapid growth in a high tech industry has a direct impact on our culture and ultimately our personal lives. For example, the incorporation of the home computer and the Internet in the past ten years has brought the world's information, resources and communication into our living rooms by the click of a mouse. The way we communicate, shop, read articles, and finds information has changed. What that has done to us as a culture is simple. The generation in which we now live and the children that will follow us, demand multi sensory interaction and massive amounts of information/entertainment.

How then does this effect the church of North America? We are living in a post literate, postmodern age where the communication, industry and media have changed. Unfortunately, the way in which we communicate in the church for the most part has stayed the same. This has brought the church of North America into a crisis situation. Statistically, there are more people that have left the church in the past ten-years than the rest of the century combined. The greatest percentages of absence currently are those of age 18-30. Why? Simply put, the church of North America is not speaking the language of our current generation and is desperately struggling to become culturally relevant. Does this mean that the gospel is to be watered down into a palatable fluffy package that favors entertainment? On the contrary, our vision is to take the very foundations of our faith and empower the church through relevant culture and to communicate more efficiently with each other and through means that our generation can and will identify with.
