Often when I am in a Bible study or working on a sermon I need to find a verse right away. My concordance is too far away and I don´t have time to turn on my computer. Fortunately, I can fit the entire NIV Bible in 1.5mb on my Palm and still have some room to spare for other programs (For those of us with older Palms you might just want to install the New Testament which is about 400kb)

The best program I have found so far is the "MyBible" Program by Laridian. I like it the most because it has NIV (and many other versions) and the search and navigation is the fastest I could find. Click here to learn more about this program

Here are some of the key things to look for in a Bible program

• Does it have the Bible version you want?


• How well does the search work and how fast?


• How much does it cost?


• How fast can you turn to a verse?


• It is readable (font size, layout)?
