The thump of the drum 2001-05-10 Sometimes some people will complain about the drums. It is too loud, too piercing and so on. In many cases their point is correct. If you keep in mind that when seniors wear hearing aids it amplifies all the sound not just the highs or lows (unless they have a very special one). So when they turn it up to hear the highs which go first they get the loud bump bump of the drums giving them a headache. Try setting up a drum shield. Just take some plywood and glue foam on the inside to absord the sound, paint it the color of the Church. Then put foam underneathe the drums and the walls behind.
