Reducing the echo

One of the problems that many churches have is they have too many flat surfaces that the sound bounces off and goes around and around the room.

If you stand behind the pulpit and clap your hands does the sound carry on or does it die off.

One way to overcome that is to put padding up on the walls. These can be covered with clothe and painted by some of the artists in the Church for relatively low cost.
